How to choose a robot vacuum

The dock decides whether you keep using it

A robot with no dock needs its bin emptied every few days, and that is the chore people stop doing. A self-emptying dock holds several weeks of debris in a bag. An all-in-one station also washes and dries the mop pads, which is the difference between mopping being automatic and mopping being a job you do afterwards. Spend here before you spend on suction.

Suction figures are not comparable between brands

Pascal ratings are manufacturer claims, measured differently by each company, and the numbers have inflated steadily without cleaning improving at the same rate.
